So many people when it comes to Bible study want to work with large amounts of the bible, but I have another idea...
My desire is to read enough to open the door to the Holy Spirit but not so much that we cut the Holy Spirit out. If you try to read too much at one time, about all you do is make it possible to say you read scripture.
If you read too much at one time, it is possible to get caught in the "gotta get through it all" mode and effectively make the study about duty and not experience.
When we join together in a circle around an open Bible and open hearts, we make room for the Holy Spirit to interact with us in powerful ways!
So, I prefer to open the door to experience not duty.
