Blessed to Bless Others...

At Community of Joy, we believe that we are blessed by God so that we can bless others!  That blessing takes many forms and happens in many ways.  Today, I was honored to see how one expression of that blessing others is being lived out.  One of our folks, Miss Tami, got the idea at Christmas time to bless a family at Pinehurst Elementary School where we are the Faith Based Partner.  And we did... fast forward to Easter of this year... she thought it would be nice to bless that family again.  But when she contacted the Guidance Counselor, she was told that there was another family that was more needy.


So, she recruited a team member, Miss Susie, and they summoned the troups at Community of Joy with an email and gathered the fixings for an Easter Meal, and food for the Easter Break as well as an Easter Basket for each of the 10 children in the home and an Easter Bunny for the 3 adults.   Today, they delivered this food to the school so that the Guidance Counselor could take it to the family.


Blessed by God SO THAT we can bless others....
