I have been spending some time each Monday doing some major reading. For it is one way that I like to be a life-long learner. I try to read a book a week, but don't always get that done. So far this year, I have read 11 books.
This week I read Scot Mcknight's new book, "The King Jesus Gospel: The Good News Revisited". I want to HIGHLY recommend it. Scot seeks to address a contemporary distortion of the "gospel" and the way we go about sharing it in the book and he does a fabulous job of reorienting us by calling us to delve more deeply into the whole Bible.
Can't say it enough. Highly recommend this book to all! It isn't light reading but it is important reading. Near the end of the book, Scot's 4 page summary of the Bible is worth the price of the book alone!
