In every church there are two tensions... Outreach (care for those "out there") and Nurture (care for those "in here"). And without DELIBERATE effort, Nurture ALWAYS wins!
While we are called into community to encourage, love, support each other, we are also called to reach out to those who are NOT part of the community.
Henry Trumbull once said, " unless a person is ready to work for the salvation of others, it can be questioned whether or not they themselves are saved. Those who want only enough religion to save themselves, are not likely to have even that much!"
