We had some stones delivered to the ministry center on Wednesday morning.... 22.07 tons of them! The driver did a good job of spreading them as we wanted them, however he couldn't get them exactly as we needed them. So, after several hours of back breaking shoveling, I decided to call Jimmie Harris of Custom Brickwork, Inc... 443.235.3270 to see if we could hire him to help spread the stones. Well, you might remember that Jimmie helped us one other time. When I told him who I was... he said absolutely he would help and when I asked about paying him, he would have nothing of it... he said that "the Lord provided him the equipment and this was the Lord's work and that was why he was here to do the Lord's work!" What a great guy! Jimmie not only worked into the dark on Thursday night (we stood talking until near dark before he began), but he wasn't satisfied with the job, so he said he'd be back in the morning today. When I went by the Ministry Center around 9:30, John, Jimmie's employee, was there finishing the work. John had the same attitude that Jimmie had about doing the Lord's work!
They did an AWESOME job! Many thanks to Jimmie and John! If you need any concrete or brick work done, give them a call!
Thanks too, to Jim Replogle for bringing his lawn roller and allowing me to use it to pack the stones. Hopefully this is a big improvement to the Ministry Center property!
