Went to the Capital Area Food Bank today to ackage food for some daycare facilities next week.
It is a 48,000 sf facility where thousands of people are provided groceries. It gets donations from ara supermarkets that have slightly damaged packages or otherwise unable to be sold to the public. It is called food recovery... because the food would be thrown away otherwise.
