I am going with some of our senior high youth today through Saturday night to Washington D.C. on a work camp experience that Miss Tami put together for us.
We will be staying at the international guest house and tomorrow we will visit with the Church of the Brethren Washington Office director and will tour the capitol, meet our congressional reps and look at some of the monuments. Then Friday and Saturday, we will work at a soup kitchen and food bank. Of course, we will take in the 4th of July fireworks on Friday and on Saturday night, we will attend the 5 p.m. worship gathering of National Community Church which owns a coffe shop called Ebenezers.
It should be a fun and meaningful trip.
