Went to see the band competition... and saw one band play in the drizzle! Caroline's band was standing there in it the whole time.... took their positions on the field in the pouring rain and then were waived off the field due to lightning. They said a 20 minute delay... but it POURED, so they canceled it.
Couldn't believe that it wasn't canceled earlier in the day... 7 bands ... thousands of dollars of instruments getting wet... hundreds of band uniforms now need dry cleaning... some bands came from a distance! Too bad! We do need the rain though!
