Reaping the Rewards...

It was not the vacation that I had hoped it would be, but parts of it were awesome!

To start with... the weather turned HOT and hunting was not as much fun in the heat as it could have been and then the rain washed out my last day of hunting... though grateful for the rain.

BUT...

Our visit to Bridgewater College was AWESOME!  And it was great to see our daughter Caroline THRIVING in her new environment!!!   I have loved many of the stages you go through as a parent watching your children grow up, but perhaps none as much as this one we are in now.  As a parent you get 18 or so years to lay a solid foundation in your children and then it gets tested.  Those years are filled with joy, struggle, challenge, and heart ache.... but all part of the journey!  It was wonderful to see Caroline making wise choices about money, living, classes, jobs, friends, free time and it is great to see her making many new connections as well as already serving in various leadership roles at College!

I have long felt that this time will be an awesome time for her to grow and develop and become the young lady God created her to be and the neat thing is that she is doing it!  No better reward as a parent than to see your children stretch their wings and SOAR HIGH!
