Not what you are thinking....
I just turned down the opportunity to speak on WBOC for a segment that they are doing on a "Christians moral obligation to pay taxes". They wanted me to speak about what the bible has to say about that.
And that is why I turned it down... besides the story of Jesus and Peter and the fish and coin to pay taxes and the religious leaders trying to trip Jesus up... when they asked him if it was right to pay taxes to Caesar, there really isn't much else in the bible that speaks to this issue.
By the way, Jesus tells the religious leaders that we are to give to Caesar what is Caesars and to give to God what is his.
And Paul talks about being obligated to pay our taxes in Romans 13.
If you were asked to talk about this in front of a tv camera, what would you say?
