That group of people known as Community of Joy, they take seriously the call of Jesus "to love your neighbor as yourself"... all day today people from the congregation and beyond called, emailed, texted to see what Richard needed for his new place.
I told him that he should stay home today so that he could be around when people stopped by, because I had an inkling that many would. And as I thought, he had a steady stream of visitors all bringing gifts!
Trash can, trash bags, toilet brush, cleaners, milk, coffee, bread, laundry detergent, dish washing detergent, two chairs, a tv, a microwave, pots and pans, bed frame, dishes, glasses, silverware, and on and one... INCREDIBLE!
So cool to be part of a body of people who take following Jesus seriously!
