As our congregation makes a move into our first permanent facility in a few weeks, I've been thinking about how we make the most of this opportunity God has given us... Linking our journey to the journey of the Children of Israel in the Deuteronomy 30 as they stood on the threshold of the promised land, it occurs to me that we must make several choices as we cross that threshold into the new neighborhood and ministry center.
Here are the choices we need to make in order to make the most of it...
C- Christ Centered
H- Hands open, held up (receiving from God)
O- Open to including others
I - Intentionally Reaching out(meeting them where they are)
C- Commitment to Community (both relationships and our neighborhood)
E- Empowered by the Spirit
S - Serving Others
