I am getting myself back in the saddle after a great vacation. Got lots of work done around the house in the early part of the week, then went to VA for a wedding that Sharon officiated for our nephew, while there, took Caroline to her first "official" Bridgewater College Tour, got home Sunday night and Sharon and I spent the day yesterday enjoying the boardwalk and beach... now finding the desk, sorting emails, returning phone calls....
It is truly a small world... especially in Church of the Brethren circles. Took Caroline to tour Bridgewater College on Friday. She has always wanted to go there. Sharon graduated from there, my dad went there, my sister graduated from there, our neice and nephew (the one who got married on Saturday) also graduated from there. Our Admiisions tour guide was the neice of my highschool algebra teacher (from Easton) and our student tour guide was the son of former seminary classmates and two of the pastors who officiated our wedding 20 years ago! It was a fun time and with tuition @ $34,000 a year, we will have to get on the finacial aid, scholarship search if it will become a reality! Though the Admissions rep said that the average scholarship for a "good" student is around $17,500! And being a member of the Church of the Brethren will get another $2500. That only leaves another 5 or 6 thousand to go to get it in the ball park!
Luckily we got there early... as our tour ended early due to terrible rain storm. We didn't notice the sign in the admissions office until we were soaked. The picture on the hill is looking down from the Bridgewater Church of the Brethren site onto the campus.
