As I sit here and watch history being made today with the inaguration of President Barack Obama, watching the dignitaries walk down the steps out onto the stage at the Capitol, I am reminded of our youth group this summer walking down those same steps and looking out at the Washington Monument just as they are doing now!
Sure some things are different. No crowd that day, no blue and red carpet, no stage, but we did walk down those steps! What an experience that was.
And what an experience it was to join the world in watching the events of this historic day! So touching and so long in coming!
