Reading in Romans again today. And one of my favorite chapters in Romans.. # 12 says... "Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of services, but the same Lord and there are varieties of activities, but the same God who activates all of them in everyone. To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the COMMON GOOD." 12:4-7.
All the special gifts God has given you are NOT given to you for your benefit. They are given to you for the benefit of the body. For the benefit of all of us. For the benefit of the world. For the benefit of others. NOT YOU! How is that for encouragment?!
It should be! God gives each of us a gift or two so that we can use those gifts for the benefit of others in order that his kingdom might become a reality here and now!
The challenge is to stop hoarding the gift and use it!
Won't you allow God to use you for his glory? Won't you allow the gift you have to make a difference in the church, in the community, in the world?
